AMC Internship

Over the past semester, I have been lucky enough to participate in the internship program offered in the Academy of Multimedia and Communications. Just in 18 weeks, I have been able to take part in such unique and beneficial experiences that will help me greatly in the future. I currently intern with a casting director and realtor and get different take aways from each. Through casting, I get to see first hand one section of the industry that I want to go into when I enter the workforce. I have run the camera for an open call audition and put together reels of the best auditions to represent the company I work for. Getting to learn tips and tricks for casting and how it ties into directing and producing is crucial to understanding the business I want to get into. When I switch gears to the realtor side of my work, my brain switches to marketing mode. Seeing both sides of the industry is so important and my internship allowed me to do so. The knowledge I've gained through this program in the academy is priceless and I'm only half way through it! I can't wait to see what other tasks await me in this upcoming semester.
